This post is about my entry into my company which was not a dream before I got an offer in that company but which was made as my dream after I got the offer in that company. As i have left Barclays, I was waiting for my date of joining very eagerly. The break was really good as I got some space to enjoy the holidays and also prepare for the great exam PRAVESH. Finally I was given the date of joining. I was asked to report in Bangalore on September 16.  Oh! God Bangalore it is my dream city. Every time I go for Bangalore I will look at the people and buildings there with some thirst in my mind and soul.  I will be thinking like when I will get the chance to work in this software field. When I will be happy like them. When  I can feel that my degree has helped me. I was belonging for a day where I can call myself as Engineer. Finally that day has come on September 16.  Still internally I had the fear of rejection in the training.  Some thoughts will arise in me sometimes like what if I was rejected in the training.  But I believed that by God's grace I can do well in my training.  Then we booked the tickets and we have planned to go to Bangalore a few days before my DOJ due to some auspicious days  constraints.

I packed all my bags and then I started to Bangalore, my dream city.  Until then I dint feel bad of moving away from my home. But when I started in Auto, my mother's bye with a smile in her face made me feel. We went to the bus terminus and a formal bye in phone to the friends went on.

The next day morning I landed in my dream city for the first time with great joy and confidence. We went to my brother's place and had the lunch at CORAL TREE a 3 star restaurant. It was a good lunch. My brother's words "Hereafter Bangalore is your place" added some more confidence and joy to my mind. Always my brother was very very nice to me especially during the tougher period of my life. The very thinking that both me and my brother are software engineers based in Bangalore kindled much more joy within me.  But all these times the "fear of rejection" in the training also traveled with me. The moment I think about that I will become somewhat sad. I prayed God to bless me who did that enormously.

THE FIRST STEP INTO LNT INFOTECH
One of the most expected day came in my life. Yes september 16 my first day in lnt infotech is the one that  I am talking about. We reached the place through a VOLVO AC BUS. Leaving my father and brother outside the office I went in to the office with fear, joy and anxiety. After enquiry I went into the reception and I got my hotel room allocated with a Bengali guy.  The office vechicle was ready to take us to the hotel We were informed that we can take rest that day in the hotel and we can start from the next day. Then both my father, brother accompanied me to the hotel in the office vehicle. I felt proud and at the same time I was scared seeing the other people.

SAMITHA SUITES

The hotel came after a 45 mins journey. The hotel building looked ma-mouth. We went inside the reception and we were asked to fill a form by the  receptionists. The very first look at the reception made me understand that it is a very good hotel.
RECEPTION
I am a great lover of hotels and restaurants from my childhood days. Now I am getting a chance for that. We went to the second floor. The room number that is allocated for me is 206. yes 6+2=8 the most unlucky number. I thought about that once and then decided not to do that as it may propagate the negative vibes within me. So I left that to God and moved further

                    THE HEAVENLY HOSPITALITY
I opened, no I was taught to open the door of my room, yes it doesn't have a key instead it was opened with an access card. As I peeked in to the room with eagerness the scene I saw was almost this.

As soon as I saw the bed that is in the left hand side and the kind of sofa that is below, I felt like I am in the heaven. Then we went to the restroom. It was designed like the one that comes in the films. To the surprise each and everything that was placed there was white in color to the extent that even the mattress was white in color.

The room was completely furnished with refrigerator, LCD television, locker, comfortable sofa, Air-conditioner,Microwave Owen, vessels etc., My father gave me the advise that these "Don't get distracted with any of these comforts but at the same time you make use of it".
At this time I remember the scene from the movie Varanam 1000 where the father will leave his son in the hostel. Even though it doesn't match exactly it matched reasonably. My brother was equally happy and he told me to just enjoy. It seems funny but I understood that he doesn't want to scare me by telling perform well. I told my mother I will be in heaven for the next 3 months if I perform well in the training. Then we had the breakfast and lunch in the hotel. My brother bought me some daily accessories and finally the evening came where I was forced to leave my father and my brother in the Bus stand. The word that was given to me is "Now you are independent, make a good use of it". Then they boarded the bus and returned to the room. Let me tell you about my training in my next post.

My journey to SHIRDI

This post is about my journey to shirdi. I thought of posting it long back but saibaba has just now blessed I think. Long back I have thought that it is very tough to goto shirdi mostly impossible for now as it is near Mumbai. But i understood the saying of saibaba that if he wants somebody to come to shirdi they will be attracted like a flock of birds to his feet.
My journey started from Chennai and my brother joined me in bangalore. From bangalore it was a comfortable KSRTC volvo a/c bus. It is very much comfortable. We had a pretty decent journey. The bus had some video but some kanada movie was played. That is life I think. If we are in compulsion we will adapt to any type of environment. To the surprise I was able to understand even the kanada film and the hindi film. In short it was a  very comfortable journey.

As usual in every travel we too had our dinner and refreshments in motels on the way. Out of that the kamath motel where we had our dinner was excellent. They served a pretty decent food for an optimum cost. Since it was very cold the hot food was like a great treat to us. However there are some motels which were very costly to the extent of costing rs.30 for two idlis.

At about 7:45 we reached shirdi. We were dropped in a hotel, and we took room in the same hotel. The room was comfortable although the cost was not that much comfortable. After having the bath we reached the shirdi temple. We went to meet our God Shirdi saibaba. The temple was very nice to look. The queue sysytem there was very good so that incase of long queues we were able to sit while moving in the queue. The saibaba's darshan was telecasted live in the televisions there so that it is possible to have  the lords darshan from anywhere. We were lucky to get the darshan on thursday as it is the BABA day.

After a long queue finally we reached the shrine of  Saibaba. Oh GOD! It was a very beautiful darshan. Being very close to Saibaba is a lucky opportunity in life. After visiting the samadhi mandhir we went to get some sacred ash. Actually we collected a lot by standing in the queue repeatedly.
There we also got opportunity to visit the samadhi of the other sacred persons who were lucky enough to spend their life with saibaba and thereby making their life valuable. I was happy because India is famous for hindu-muslim conflict. But here in saibaba's place the custom was a mixed custom of hindu and muslims and therewere both muslims and hindu having the darshan in the same place.

After that we had a good darshan of dwarakamai the place where baba came with the marriage party in his early life and he lived there forever. It has the DHUNI i.e. the sacred fire which  Saibaba loved a lot and maintained throughout his life. The devotees has managed well to keep it till now. It will be burning throughout and it is the place from which the Sacred ash is taken and distributed to all devotees. We were lucky enough to see the dhuni which was lighted by SAIBABA.

We were very lucky to get the annadhanam in shirdi that too in thursday. The prasadalay was very big. It was very neat and tidy. We had a very good meal there.  The meal includes 2 chapathis, puri, sweet, rice and dhall. It was delicious. The arrangement was so good that there was no queue or confusion to go to the dining place. It is a mamouth building.

PALKHI (OR) CHAVADI PROCESSION

As I told earlier we were lucky enough to visit shirdi on thursday as it is the day on which palkhi(Chavadi procession) is celebrated.  Chawdi is very important place in Shirdi as Sai Baba used to spend alternate nights, during the last decade of his life. Every alternate night Sai Baba was taken in a procession from Dwarkamai to Chavadi, which is beautifully described in the Blessed book Sai SatCharitra.

Even these days the procession takes place every Thursday, in Shirdi. The picture of Sai Baba, which is placed on a silver throne in the right side of the Chavadi (here Sai Baba used to sleep), is placed near the Samadhi near the foot of Sai Baba’s Statue. Also Sai Baba’s footwear and Satka, which he used while he was in body are placed near the Samadhi of Sai Baba. Watch video of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Chavadi Utsav

At 9.15 in the evening garlanded portrait Sai Baba is reverently carried by the great grandson of Tatya Kote Patil, the son of Baijabai, who used to search for Sai Baba in jungles, and feed Baba, who used to roam about in near by jungles. Sai Baba called Baijabai as her sister and Tatya Kote Patil, used to call Sai Baba as Mama, meaning maternal uncle. Also mentioned in Sai Sat Charitra is that Tatya Kote Patil used spend nights in Dwarkamai with Sai Baba and other Devotee Mahlsapati. Bhagat Mahlsapati shouted “Ya Sai” (welcome Sai), when Sai Baba first came to Shirdi, with the marriage procession of Chand Patil’s wife’s brother’s son, and alighted at the foot of Banyan tree Khandoba Temple.

The great grandson of Tatya Kote is preceded by one of the Mandir staff carrying the Satka and the Padukas (footwear of Sai Baba). The procession moves to the Dwarkamai with sounds of drumbeats and other musical instruments, very similar to the description provided in Sai Sat Charitra. In Dwarkamai the Portrait is placed on silver throne and Bhajans are sung in much festive moods for 15 minutes. Then the portrait is again carried in the palanquin and with much music and Bhajans and shouts of victory to Sai, fire crackers bursting. In such festive environment the palanquin is parked outside the Chavadi and the portrait is carried to the silver throne and aarti is performed.

After having the beautiful darshan of the chavadi procession we came back to hotel and again we started to the temple and again we had the darshan of all I told earlier. We also had darshan of ganes, sivan, saneshwarar, Hanuman. In short it was a very beautiful darshan and Saibaba used to tell that if somebody visit shirdi then their difficulties will fly away. Similarly now I have got the joining date in my company which I was dreaming for the past 3 years.

My way to the software world

Now there is a twist in my journey. Like a man who is waiting in a train to buy water can in the forthcoming station I was waiting for a chance. Yes my 3 years dream, the company which gave me the pride in my college campus, came back again saying that they will honour my offer. Believing those words I have resigned my job and my notice period is over and I am out of the company now.

It was really a small pain on my last day.  But I feel proud that I went to a field to which I don’t have any exposure, but managed to do well. I have got a good name for my language there. Even though I suffered at the beginning when my turn came I rocked.  It was a beautiful feeling that initially I was trained and now I have trained a new comer.

I thought that I will not be able to train that person at first. But later it was a good chance to know or appraise myself about the leadership skills I have.  I am proud to say that I have trained that person in a nice manner.  Yes that person is thorough with the concepts I taught. It was a healthy training, to the extent that the person was about to cry when I departed from my place.  Yes I can understand the feeling. This was the same feeling that I had when my trainer went out.  But both emotions are a healthy one and not an ugly thing

Now I am expecting the mail from my company  which made me dream the software career.  Now again after a long period I am free. No I cant tell like this. I should be busy reading the things I need. Actually there are lots of thing that I should learn. This time I will definitely win the race. There is no other way.

Life  is all about performances.  If a hen doesn’t give eggs it will be turned into a chicken, if a cow doesn’t gives milk, it will be a beaf.  Same way if a man doesn’t perform he will be the shredder.
So life is all about performing and this time I am in a position to perform well. Definitely I will do that.

THE MANTRA TO SUCCEED

Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.

British politician (1874 - 1965)
